Gjonaj Group Visits U.S. Institutions Following an Invitation from AmCham Albania

The Chairman of the Board of Gjonaj Group Holdings, Marin Gjonaj, at the invitation of the American Chamber of Commerce, participated in a delegation of leading Albanian businesses that was welcomed by U.S. institutions in Washington, D.C. The main host of this business program was the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington.
Mr. Gjonaj and the other participants visited and met with representatives of the U.S. Department of State, the Department of Commerce, the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), the Atlantic Council, the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE), the U.S. Commercial Service, and the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA), among others. During these meetings, the importance of strengthening business cooperation between the United States and Albania was emphasized.
In addition, a business meeting was organized by the Embassy of Albania in Washington, attended by Albanian businesses as well as representatives of American businesses and institutions.
During these meetings, Mr. Gjonaj spoke, among other topics, about opportunities for cooperation with American companies in the telecommunications and energy sectors. “The potential for cooperation is significant, and we at Gjonaj Group are open to launching joint ventures with American partners. We are among the leading players in the telecommunications and energy sectors in Albania and the region,” he said. Mr. Gjonaj also thanked AmCham Albania for creating this bridge of cooperation between Albanian and American businesses.
Gjonaj Group is present in the U.S. market in the telecommunications sector through INFOTelecom ICS and its subsidiary, Mactal Corp, which is headquartered in New York and employs local staff. The company provides services to the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and South American markets.
